Straus Family Creamery was the first ever 100% certified organic creamery in the country when it was founded back in 1994.

Straus Family Creamery is largely driven by their mission to help sustain family farms in Marin and Sonoma Countries by providing high quality, minimally processed organic dairy products and to support family farming and revitalize rural communities everywhere through advocacy and education.

With their own farm, Straus Dairy Farm, they are able to ensure that they deliver premium organic dairy products with minimal processing at all times. Moreover, Straus Family Creamery also purchases certified organic, Non-GMO Project Verified milk from eight other organic family farms across Northern California's Marin and Sonoma Countries.

Business Challenge

With multiple outlets across the country, Straus Family Creamery found themselves constantly seeking for hourly workers to manage daily operations. However, it is a struggle for them to manually screen through and interview every individual application across multiple job portals such as Indeed, Google Jobs, Facebook Jobs, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor. Additionally, being in the manufacturing industry results in a low influx of job applications since millennials today are more inclined towards an industry that is perceived to be more "fun," like the food and beverages industry.

It is a struggle to manually screen through every individual application across various job portals.


To address the challenges faced, Straus Family Creamery adopted the use of Workstream to ease their hiring process. This has helped them to save time spent on hiring up to 200%, receiving over 500 applicants in a month from the time they started using Workstream, and even successfully onboarded 30 of these applicants to join their team.
