Responsibilities:
- Chart nurses’ notes and care plans in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident as well as the resident’s response to the care.
- Medication administration passes are completed and documented timely, accurately, and in accordance with established policies.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.
- Obtain and carry out Physicians’ orders.
- Pass medications to residents at the correct time and in the correct dose, as ordered by physicians.
- Continually assess residents for changes-of-conditions.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise CNAs.
Documents required:
- Must be actively licensed as a Vocational Nurse
- CPR or BLS Certification,
- Physical Test and a TB Test (taken within one year)
- Driver's License or State ID
- 6 months experience working as a LPN/LVN
