HCI Catering is Manhattan's premier catering organization representing our

award-winning brands: Coco Bolos, Cox Bros BBQ, JC’s BBQ and Grill, and

Powercat Sports Grill. With a large variety and number of events each year,

ranging from intimate dinners for 10 to parties of 500+, the Catering

Coordination Intern will support multiple catering concepts and clients. You'll

join a great team and receive training and ongoing development.

Job Description

Seeking a dynamic, results driven, and customer oriented individual to join our team as

a part-time Catering Coordination Intern. The ideal candidate devotes significant

attention to detail, is tech savvy, and naturally always delivers memorable and

genuine customer service. The Catering Coordination Intern must be comfortable

working in an open office environment. Formal phone etiquette is essential as

it will be your main form of communication to answer inquiries and take

catering orders. Other important duties include maintaining and updating a

database, booking, and planning events while assuring the highest level of

customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

·       High School diploma or equivalent

·       Part-time availability

·       Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills

·       Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Word

·       Good decision-making skills

·       Exceptional phone etiquette including a confident communication style

·      Willing to work on the service side of catering at our busiest times for important events

·       Hospitality experience is beneficial

·       Ability to think creatively about unique customer requests

·       Confidence to ask questions or for assistance as well as coaching and direction
