Shadowbrook Restaurant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Bookkeeper to join our team and help manage our financial operations.
Job Overview:
As a Corporate Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of bookkeeping duties, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our financial records. You will play a key role in managing our day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to reconciling several internal and all bank accounts, posting journal entries, maintaining operational and accounting records, and handling general ledger accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Accounting: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately and timely recorded.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts regularly as well as several internal accounts.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries as needed to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Monthly and Quarterly sales tax filings and prepayments.
- Prepare for and integrate with corporate CPA needs
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.
- Software Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
