CFA Hwy 21 - Training Assistant

Immediate Training Assistant Role

Must be available 5:30am-11pm Monday through Saturday

Closed Sundays


The Training Assistant Role has 2 major functions

  1. To act as Shift Lead in necessary areas of the restaurant - FOH or HOH
  2. Ensure Training Systems are being followed to give the best training experience for team members


Assistants are remarkable at shift leadership and lead the team to ensure excellence in their areas in:

  • Equipping and empowering Team Members to execute the Winning Hearts Every Day Restaurant Strategy for our Customers
  • Demonstrating and reinforcing care for each other and the Restaurant by upholding our Chick-fil-A Covington Highway 21 Values and growing in Leadership Competency
  • Assisting a specific Restaurant area, holding self and Team accountable to Key Results Area (KRAs) for specific role ownership


Shift Lead Responsibilities:

  • Coaches and upholds to food safety standards and organizational safety standards of each Team Member’s area and position 
  • Assesses issues in quality and customer experience and identifies and corrects opportunities
  • Establishes and reinforces a standard of excellence in order accuracy and a sense of urgency for each Team Member’s area and position 
  • Holds self and others accountable for thinking Customer First
  • Assesses area teamwork and efficiencies and identifies and corrects opportunities
  • Coaches to overall cleanliness of the Restaurant inside and outside
  • Helps Team Members understand how keeping the Restaurant clean, safe, and refreshing affects the customer

Training Responsibilities:

  • Be the expert on restaurant training plans for all areas of the restaurant.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members navigating the training process.
  • Lead introduction training courses for new team members and adjust training based on business needs
  • Holds operational leaders accountable for training plans executed each week and maintains a system for accountability.
  • Monitor team members' progress in training programs and address any challenges.
  • Ensure training checklists align with organizational standards and facilitate comprehensive learning.
  • Collaborate with Certified Trainers to enhance the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Own Certified trainer team and ensure Certified Trainer Team in executing training sessions
