Rate of pay$13 - 15 per hour

We are a rapidly growing restaurant looking for Dishwashers to help enhance our company. We are looking for creative, motivated professionals who can work well alone and on a team with others. You will report to the Kitchen Manager or Assistant Managers as well as your team leads. The position requires 30-35 hours a week including nights, weekends, and certain Holidays each month [NOTE: Thanksgiving and Christmas off.] This position requires the ability to follow instructions and recipes. Good people skills and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 

Job Description:

  • We have a vacant spot for a well-organized and committed dishwasher. Our culinary environment is fast-paced and we expect you to be able to work as part of a team. Your main duties will include removing dishes (plates and flatware) from the tables and washing them. On occasion, you will be asked to reset and prepare tables, assist with unloading delivery trucks, clean cook stations, kitchen appliances, and machines.
  • Our goal is to employ a person with excellent time management and communication skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks. You will be working in a kitchen for most of your workday. This means that you will also have to abide by food safety procedures and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Consistently ensure the availability of clean/sanitized dishes by washing/sanitizing flatware, dishes, pots, and pans
  • Maintain a clean/sanitized work environment by cleaning/sanitizing kitchen machines and appliances (pots, pans, stoves, surfaces, and floor)

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean, sanitized and well-organized working environment
  • Bussing tables to collect soiled plates and flatware
  • Maintaining the availability of clean/sanitized dishes at all times
  • Helping other team members to unload and store deliveries
  • Assist other staff members with tasks when the need arises
  • Adhere to food safety procedures and regulations
  • Taking out the trash
  • Rinsing garbage cans
  • Preparing food including weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes
  • Handling supplies and helping with preps and pars
  • Checking food and ingredients for freshness
  • Maintaining temperatures (hot and cold) and equipment throughout the shift
  • May need to help with opening and closing duties
  • Ensuring that kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned/sanitized daily

Job Requirements:

  • Must have minimal work experience as a dishwasher
  • Must be proficient in operating with different types of dishes
  • Must know and follow all food safety procedures
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Self-starter
