POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the installation of Festival carpentry projects.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in determining the personnel required for installation.
  • Monitor progress of signage and décor projects to ensure proper installation procedures and structural integrity.
  • Assist in determining installation procedures and appropriate fabrication materials for specific projects during the Festival.
  • Maintain communication with the Carpenter Supervisor and other Site Supervisors as needed.
  • Coordinate the distribution of materials for installations.
  • Organize and delegate tools needed for fabrication.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Using the Absentee Request Form, it is the responsibility of each employee and their supervisor to accurately report their absenteeism to the Festival Finance Office.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.
  • Give any document, computer program, design, or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival (and, therefore, belonging to the Jazz Festival) to the Festival through your supervisor or department head at the end of each production year, or upon request.
  • Attend and complete any required training.
  • Complete all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports.
  • Must attend and complete any required training.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in construction; experience in festival construction is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in high-stress production environments.
  • Strong organizational and delegation skills.
  • Capable of heavy lifting and possessing stamina.
  • Endurance for long hours in active, stressful production settings with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
