TIME FRAME: This is a short term, seasonal position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the installation of stage decks as assigned by the Deck Krewe Coordinator.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in the installation of stage decks as directed by the Deck Krewe Coordinator, adhering to OSHA standards and Jazz Fest safety protocols.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Using the Absentee Request Form, it is the responsibility of each employee and their supervisor to accurately report their absenteeism to the Festival Finance Office.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.
  • Give any document, computer program, design, or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival (and, therefore, belonging to the Jazz Festival) to the Festival through your
  • supervisor or department head at the end of each production year, or upon request.
  • Attend and complete any required training.
  • Complete all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports.
  • Must attend and complete any required training.
  • Perform all other work-related duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Preferably possess prior experience in construction procedures.
  • Familiarity with construction tools.
  • Ability to engage in heavy lifting and sustain physical stamina.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and proficiency in safely operating a pickup truck, UTV, and golf cart.
  • Willingness to follow directives and work as instructed.
  • Capacity to endure extended hours in a dynamic, high-pressure production environment, including the ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
