Maintenance Parts Clerk

Rate of payStarting at $24 per hour

JOB OBJECTIVE: Provide clerical support to maintenance team with focus on administration, work order material management, and parts organization/control to ensure the execution of operating procedures and to maximize profitability and achievement of Company goals.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintain and coordinate stock of maintenance parts to ensure availability for Operations equipment needs

• Assist team with parts selection for repairs, process order requests and tags parts with work order number

• Purchase parts from vendors, suppliers, and service providers, as needed, conducting requisite research to assure availability of cost-effective parts  

• Receive and manage all data input of maintenance parts and applicable documentation (OEM manuals, drawings, supplier catalogs), and reconcile against purchase orders for accurate reporting and timely payment of invoices

• Maintain consistently accurate organization of maintenance parts, reporting losses and analyzing movement of inventory by performing timely cycle counts, and keeping regular inventory journals and efficiency reports

• Performs light maintenance such as change light bulbs, grease and lubricate equipment, etc.

• Effectively and consistently communicate continuing events to team members or following shift team

• Consistently communicates in a professional and positive manner with all team members


Development and Safety

• Responsible for ensuring that the maintenance shop, warehouse, and surrounding areas are kept in exceptionally clean order, free of hazards, and compliant with all applicable federal OSHA, DOL,  and local mandated  safety and HazMat standards, communicating any issues immediately 

• Must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and any/all established processes , whether established by their manager, by the company or by law 

• Must consistently work in a safe manner and comply with all health, safety, and security requirements that are communicated to you, whether established by your, manager, by the company or by law 

• Must communicate any safety hazard or workplace accident or near miss, and assist with proactive communication of safety rules to all team members so as to help foster a companywide culture of safety


General 

• Must participate in operations meetings, leadership meetings, team meetings, safety meetings, huddles, and other Company meetings, as requested 

• Ensure work is produced in the most sustainable manner

• Must maintain excellent attendance

• Other duties as requested




40 hours/Full- time


Physical Requirement:


• Work in a manufacturing environment

• Extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and stooping, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers.  – Repetitive at times

• Frequent periods of sitting and working on a computer/looking at the computer screen and/or SMART technology

• The senses of being able to see, hear and have full power of speech, required

• The ability to climb and balance is essential

• Ability to work in confined spaces

• Ability to work at high elevations (i.e., rooftops, tops of tanks)

• Working in cold, wet, humid environments

• Ability to work in high allergen environments

• Ability to work in temperature ranges from -20° to 100° degrees Fahrenheit 

• Ability to withstand noise produced by manufacturing machinery up to 90 decibels

• Ability to lift, hold and/or carry up to 50 pounds of product, unassisted

• Flexibility to work different shifts when required and to monitor and test sanitation or quality parameters when non-compliance occurs

Education and Experience:


• High school diploma, or equivalent. Some college, preferred but not required

• Experience prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously, following through in timely manner

• Strong business math skills to verify accurate counting/tracking of inventories and be able to convert measurements.

• Must possess an aptitude for smart technology, particularly iPhone/iPad, as well as willingness to expand technical knowledge in these areas

• Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel, Word, Outlook 

• Fluent English communication skills - verbal and written - to work with vendor and suppliers

• Ability to motivate and influence others to follow established procedures

• Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

• Must be flexible to work OT when required and to work weekends, as business needs arise
