SUMMARY
As the Catering Sales Associate, you will be responsible for daily sales communication with event clients, cultivating vendor relationships, overseeing the detailing and operations hand off of events, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. This role requires a blend of creativity, business acumen, and strong communication skills to effectively promote our catering offerings and maximize sales opportunities.
GENERAL
- Maintain effective, organized, and timely follow-up on leads, proposals, and contracts.
- Answer inquiries, emails, or phone calls, within 48 hours.
- Actively solicit business, eg. maintaining positive vendor relationships, cold emails, networking events.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of potential and secured accounts, bookings, client requests, and specifications in our CRM system (Total Party Planner).
- Oversee the planning and coordination of details of booked business; create and distribute client BEO’s to Root Cellar Operations Manager.
- Work closely with operations and culinary departments in the planning process of each event, as needed.
- Assist with tracking the productivity of the marketing plans and projects alongside our marketing and admin team.
- Monitor, review, and report on all sales efforts, activity, and results to GM at a monthly scheduled sales meeting.
EVENTS
- Oversee the communication of all relevant needs to the client, corporate planner, and or appropriate catering departments in a timely and detailed manner.
- Oversee the production details for events (timelines, BOE, layouts).
- Oversee the management of each event from initial sale through successful completion.
- Do everything in your power to make sure a client leaves with a great experience.
REQUIRED:
- Must maintain valid Texas Food Handler Certificate and TABC certification.
- Strong presentation skills to represent the company professionally and successfully.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and relationships with clients.
- Excellent organizational, time management, planning, and follow-up skills.
