As the Assistant General Manager, you will serve as a vital leader in our restaurant, responsible for supporting daily operations and ensuring excellence across all departments. Positioned above the Team Leader level and reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is essential in maintaining high standards in food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and guest experience. You will play a key role in building and leading high-performing teams while working closely with the General Manager and other leaders to execute our vision for Chick-fil-A Hamilton & Wesley.

Leadership Responsibilities
- Support daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, drive-thru, and mobile/delivery channels
- Champion and reinforce operational systems that deliver speed, accuracy, and excellence across all areas of the business
- Set clear expectations and assist in holding Team Leaders accountable to performance, food safety, and service standards
- Assist in the full employee lifecycle — recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, development, performance management, and, when necessary, offboarding
- Coach and develop Team Leaders and Team Members through consistent feedback, training, and leadership modeling
- Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic planning, organizational health, and growth initiatives
- Monitor key metrics including labor efficiency, throughput, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and order accuracy
- Respond to operational challenges in real time with a calm, solutions-oriented approach
- Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A corporate standards, local health codes, and safety regulations
- Embody and promote a culture of high character, humility, ownership, and service
- All leaders, regardless of level, are expected to lead daily operations, owning shifts and guiding teams to deliver exceptional experiences in real time.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role (restaurant or retail preferred)
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams with grit, positivity, and emotional intelligence
- Strong working knowledge of food safety, labor management, and inventory systems
- Confident and effective communicator with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on in the day-to-day operation
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to be on your feet for extended periods and lift/carry 5–30 lbs as needed
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, Saturdays, and potential holidays
- Demonstrates high character, integrity, and a strong sense of personal responsibility
- Approaches every shift with a cheerful, positive attitude and a heart for serving others
