What You’ll Be Doing:
- Watering, cleaning, and pricing plants (Don’t worry, no plants were harmed in the making of this job)
- Receiving plant shipments (Yes, more plants to love!)
- Merchandising plants indoors and outdoors (You’re basically the plant whisperer)
- Offering top-tier advice to customers on plant care and selection (Your expertise will be legendary)
- Getting freight put away fast and efficiently (You’ve got the speed of a gardening ninja)
- Teaming up with coworkers when they need help (We’re all in this together)
- Helping in-store during the off-season (Don’t worry, plants don’t take vacations!)
- Taking on additional tasks as needed (You’re flexible, like a good plant stem)
What We’re Looking For:
- A deep understanding of plants and their care (You’ll know what’s up with succulents, perennials, and everything in between)
- The ability to multitask like a pro (You can water a plant, answer a customer, and look fabulous doing it)
- Self-motivation (Because you’ll sometimes be working solo, and let’s face it, you’re your own best boss)
- A love for fast-paced environments (Just like your plants, you thrive under pressure)
- Excellent communication skills (You can talk to plants AND people)
- Organized and detail-oriented (Because plants deserve nothing less)
- Ability to follow instructions (Even the ones that say “do not water this plant, it’s just for display”)
The Fine Print:
- You’ll be walking, standing, lifting, and moving items a lot (Think of it as your daily workout)
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs (If you can’t lift it, just say it’s “too heavy for you to carry alone” and ask for help)
- Pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching are all part of the deal (Plants aren’t going to arrange themselves!)
- Be prepared to work in all weather conditions (You’re basically a plant hero, rain or shine)
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays (Yes, even on the days when you’d rather be home with your plants)
