What does career growth look like at Dairy Queen?

Employees typically come in and start at 1 of the 3 Crew positions; -Chill Crew - Primary duty is preparing soft serve based products. Main Secondary Duties are restocking and cleaning the Chill production area. -Service Crew - Primary duties are communicating with customers on their orders/form of payment & giving them the correct orders in a timely and polite fashion. Main Secondary Duties are restocking and cleaning customer areas. -Grill Crew - Primary duty is preparing our burgers, chicken baskets and other food products. Main Secondary Duties are restocking and cleaning the Grill production area. Once an employee has learned all 3 areas, if they are proficient at them and show signs of leadership, we will typically approach them about their interest in becoming a Shift Leader. Shift Leader duties include; -Directing the crew on staff in their positions to ensure efficiency for Labor and Cost of Good Sold. -Problem solve in real time any issues that arise with employees &/or customers. -Basic Accounting work at the end of each shift to ensure all forms of payment are accounted for. -Equipment Assembly/Disassembly After a Shift Leader has become Proficient and begun to show exceptional skills, they may have the opportunity to become a salary Assistant Manager or General Manager. These position's tasks can be provided upon request.
