Server

Servers attend to diners, taking their orders and ensuring the guest gets their food and beverages in a timely manner. They greet diners and engage in friendly conversation with them to cultivate a hospitable, welcoming environment.  Additional duties include excellent customer service, taking orders, communicating with members of the kitchen staff, and delivering food and beverages to the correct tables. It is important for all servers to be knowledgeable about the food and beverage on the menu so they can explain the items to guests and clarify any concerns about allergies or style of food preparation. Servers must also report guest problems or issues to a supervisor as observed. Servers must help maintain a clean and sanitary restaurant by bussing dishes, sweeping floors, wiping menus, and completing other side work and closing tasks. 

Wages:

Hourly Wage: $5.26 per hour

Eligible for Tips: Yes

Bonus: Servers are eligible for a work performance-based bonus of up to $1.00 for every hour worked during the Season through Sunday, October 13; must work a minimum of 200 hours in total. The associate must work until the date of commitment agreed to at the interview.

Qualifications & Duties:

• Must be familiar with the restaurant industry and POS systems.  
• TIPS certification preferred but will supply passport if not previously certified.
• Excellence communication skills are necessary. 
• Prior experience as a server preferred. 
• Must be able to work in a fast environment.
• Must be an enthusiastic individual with a courteous and positive attitude toward guests, outside vendors, and co-workers.
• Timeliness is required as well as adherence to grooming standards.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays in the summer.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, or stretch for long periods of time.
• Ability to take and follow directions from the restaurant management team.
