Lead Installer facilitates the implementation of urban agriculture projects throughout their region. The Lead Installer is responsible for directing the installation team.
Main tasks and responsibilities :
Preparation of equipment orders for the installation of our urban farms.
Responsible for following up on tasks assigned by Supervisors.
Ensure the safe delivery of the equipment and plants necessary for the installation of our urban farms.
Management of materials and plants during their transport in the buildings.
Planting vegetable and herb seedlings according to a production plan standardized by MicroHabitat.
Horticultural management:
Transport of materials and plants to the production area.
Create openings to the garden with the MicroHabitat team during the installation period.
Ensure cleanliness is maintained and maintained during installations.
Perform all other tasks related to the installation of the area (watering, trellising of tomato plants, installation of stake systems, watering system.
Representation and administration:
Represent the company as a member of the installation team
Duties related to setting up production areas
Follow and maintain safety protocols that affect MicroHabitat farming operations Skills
Schedule for applications and entry into position:
- Training May 12 and 13, 2023 starting at 9:00 AM.
- Installation work begins May 16th at 8:00 AM.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: $ 23 / hour
Working day varying between 8 to 11 hours / day (8:00am-7:00pm)
Paid lunch of 30 minutes / day
Bonus: $ 300 bonus paid at the end of the installation period to compensate for your personal displacements and parking throughout the city during the installation period.
Skills sought:
Must be physically fit
Must have access to personal vehicle or personal transportation.
Must have a working cell phone
Must have an interest in agriculture and enjoy working outdoors
Must have a vaccination passport
Must be available Monday through Friday between mid-May and mid-June
Contract finishes after 4 to 5 weeks.
