Main responsibilities of a Meat Associate::

To properly stock all meat and seafood per manager's direction.  Make sure pricing is correct.  Clean-up of department. Complete all other duties as assigned by the manager in a timely manner.

Position Accountabilities:

• Assisting in the traying, preparing, and wrapping all cut meat products to policy.
• Stocking lunch meat, frozen seafood and fresh meats.
• Working in other inner departments of the meat department.
• Understanding the pricing system.
• Complying with all safety features, use of machine guards, etc.
• Maintaining clean work area, floors, sinks, etc., and accepting responsibility for department sanitation and cleanliness.

Requirements:

May be asked to carry 50 lbs. for a length of 20 feet

May need to be able to push 60 lbs.

May need to be able to pull 60 lbs.

Must be able to bend, squat, climb and lift objects overhead

Must be able to tolerate temperature differentials

Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends
