Overview:
Kooky Canuck, a vibrant and dynamic casual dining full-service restaurant, is seeking a skilled Front of House Restaurant Manager to join our team. Our restaurant offers a unique and exciting dining experience, blending delicious food with exceptional service in a lively atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and inspire the front of house team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise front of house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Customer Service: Ensure that guests receive prompt, friendly, and personalized service at all times. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Work closely with the kitchen team to optimize menu offerings and pricing. Implement strategies to increase sales and maximize revenue, such as promotions, upselling, and suggestive selling techniques.
- Financial Management: Monitor and control operating costs, including labor, food, and beverage expenses. Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures as needed.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. Conduct regular inspections of the dining area and front of house facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to sanitation guidelines.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for front of house staff to enhance their product knowledge, service skills, and upselling techniques.
- Guest Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, soliciting feedback and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the restaurant industry, preferably in a full-service dining environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, staffing, and inventory management.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and sanitation guidelines.
