Fabrication - Carpentry - Metalwork - Forklifts - CNC machines - Flatbed trucks - Equipment maintenance - Power tools - Calipers - Fractions: All of these are used for creatively solving physical problems - We spend our days cutting, shaping and creating metal solutions from larger raw materials.

A TYPICAL DAY AT METAL SUPERMARKETS:

Each morning we plan our day together as a team to make sure that all of our client requests are handled in a timely manner. You will act as a vital team member, focusing on inventory management, processing and order fulfillment. Our goal is to ensure that customer orders are picked, cut, and processed efficiently and safely all the way through delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

· Inventory Management - Forklift operation, receiving, shipping, organization, sorting and quality control.

· Measurement - Cut plan optimization through the use of Tape Measures, Calipers, Fractions and Decimals.

· Machine Operation - Semi Automatic Band Saw, 10' Hydraulic Shear, Power Tools.

· Cleaning and Organization - Maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.

· Driving - Occasionally drive the company 21’ flatbed.

· Maintenance - Assist in facility maintenance and other company projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Safety - Thoughtful consideration of safety and situational awareness.

· Measurement - Effective use tape measures to the 1/16, conversion of decimals to fractions and measuring sheets with precision calipers.

· Math - Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction

· Machines - Experience with powered cutting machines and process planning.

· Driving - Louisiana Class D Driver’s License with a clean driving record

· Language - Comprehension of written and spoken English

· Bilingual - Spanish language is a bonus.

· Physical - Regularly lifting 60 pounds unassisted.
