Core Responsibilities & Workflow Management
- Production Oversight: Lead morning strategy sessions to assign tasks and optimize daily production schedules using lean principles.
- Precision Metal Processing: Expertly operate and oversee the use of hydraulic shears, cold saws, and fully automatic robotic band saws.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Ensure all orders are picked, cut, and processed with 100% accuracy to exact specifications.
- Logistics & Fleet Leadership: Safely operate a 21' flatbed truck for client deliveries and coordinate optimized delivery routes.
- Inventory Control: Manage indoor warehouse stock, overseeing forklift operations, receiving, and inventory organization.
- Technical Mentorship: Act as the primary safety lead, training junior operators on industrial equipment and shop best practices.
Candidate Requirements (Technical & Leadership)
- The Lead Mindset: A naturally competitive, highly motivated professional focused on personal and team excellence.
- Experience: 3+ years in metal fabrication, industrial machine operation, or shop management.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of precision measuring devices (tape measures to 1/16th, decimals, and fractions).
- Regulatory Compliance: Must possess a valid Louisiana Class D Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift 60 lbs unassisted and remain active in a high-output warehouse environment.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with customers and clear, direct communication to lead the shop team.
