Position Overview

The Back-of-House Team Member plays a critical role in maintaining kitchen efficiency, product quality, and operational flow. This position is ideal for individuals with prior kitchen experience who can manage fast-paced environments, communicate clearly, and uphold Chick-fil-A’s high standards for food safety, accuracy, and teamwork. This role requires strong situational awareness, physical stamina, and the ability to anticipate the needs before they impact service.


In this role, you will leverage your teamwork skills, adapt quickly to new systems, and build upon your prior experience. While this track positions you ahead of an entry-level role, leadership titles at our restaurant are exclusively earned and promoted from within. This position serves as your launchpad, where intentional development starts on day one and compounds as you prove your skills and earn each step up our leadership path.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely communication and precise notification of inventory needs
  • Collaborate proactively with Front-of-House team to ensure smooth restaurant flow
  • Use kitchen systems and technology to forecast delays and adjust production speed
  • Execute station duties efficiently during both peak rushes and downtime
  • Maintain superior productivity and accuracy in all back-of-house operations
  • Complete daily and deep cleaning tasks to ensure a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years kitchen experience or 1 year Chick-fil-A back of house experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work in hot and cold environments
  • Availability for at least 25 hours per week including nights and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Work Schedule & Environment

  • 5:15 AM - 11:15 PM
  • Open availability preferred
  • Weekend availability required
  • On-site position in a fast-paced, supportive team atmosphere
