Host / Hostess (Part-Time)
Ghost Isle Brewery is looking for a friendly, reliable Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.
Position Overview:
You will greet guests as they arrive, manage waitlists, and coordinate seating to support efficient service. A great host sets the tone for the entire guest experience by delivering a positive first impression and keeping things organized during busy shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly with a welcoming and positive attitude
- Manage waitlists and provide accurate wait times when needed
- Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections
- Provide menus and answer basic questions about the restaurant
- Answer phones, take reservations, and assist with guest inquires
- Maintain clear communication with servers, bartenders, and management
- Assist in resolving guest concerns in a professional manner
- Keep the host stand and entry area clean and organized
- Support other front-of-house positions as needed
- Help maintain smooth flow between dining and bar areas
What We're Looking For:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to stay clam under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic computer/POS skills are a plus (we will train)
- Restaurant experience is helpful, but not required
Availability:
We are specifically hiring for shifts during:
- Thursday & Friday evenings
- Saturday (day & evening)
- Sunday from about 11:30am-5:00pm
This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent part-time hours during these times.
