Essential Functions:
The Assistant Director will report to the Location/Regional Director and serves as a clinical bridge between directors and supervisors, down to direct service employees. The position requires a professional and pleasant demeanor, committed work ethic, distinct verbal, and good leadership, problem solving and human relations skills. The Assistant Director will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Programmatic oversight, coordination and quality support – ensure services work efficiently and meet agency requirements
- Monitor program performance and service delivery metrics
- Oversight of and management of assigned clinical staff within the assigned programs of the agency
- Provide direct support and supervision to all special programming staff, including initial training.
- Provide administrative and clinical supervision to direct supervised staff (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC) pertaining to service delivery, documentation submission etc. Monthly supervision hours based on licensure type and employment classification
- Provide administrative supervision to behavioral staff assigned to public school services and programming support
- Maintain documentation of supervision
- Participation in onboarding and training of employees for special program; ongoing training of supervised employees
- Administrative and programmatic oversight of programs providing services specific to populations in schools, Department of Social Services, etc., including but not limited to: review of performance, and participation in maintaining internal and external school relationships
- Oversight of clinician responsibilities, including mental health service delivery and programing within the school setting, review of calendars and implementation, and support and coordination activities
- Serve as a resource and assist in creation of interventions, supports, and activities to enhance programming
- Facilitate critical thinking, problem solving and address of challenges that interfere with service provision and productivity of staff
- Participate in all required training for school interventions, and support employees in the implementation of use of interventions by guidelines provided
- Adherence to all guideline of affiliations and agreements established between BTST, schools, and external partners
- Audit files for COMAR and CARF compliance adherence, accreditation standards, and agency policy & procedures and insurance standard
- Review of documentation, client care plans, assessments, discharges and other clinical documentation
- Reconcile clinician activity reports
- Monthly reporting on interventions to funding sources, programs and collaboration with internal departments to ensure proper information tracking and data collection.
- Plan and conduct monthly team meetings with all assigned program staff
- Assist with community and school events as representative of BTST Services and programming under oversight with ability to share information with potential clientele
- Complete on-site visits to community partners and stakeholders to support efficiency of operations, and periodic follow-up as needed
- Conduct annual performance evaluations, needed corrective action, performance training and related activities
- Maintain working knowledge of mental health treatment models and DSM 5 diagnostic criteria
- Work independently, yet collaboratively as a team player across department lines within BTST Services, LLC
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The Senior Program Supervisor must have the following experience, knowledge, or abilities:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields: social work
- Maintain professional license in the state of MD to provide therapy services
- Licensed Certified supervisor by the Board of Maryland Social Work Examiners (LCSW-C) or Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists (LCPC)
- LCSW-C Supervisors must also be Board Approved with the Counseling Board
- At least five years of administrative and/or clinical experience
- Required experience working in a behavioral health setting providing services to clients with emotional and behavioral disabilities
- Knowledge of CARF standards and COMAR regulations preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver's License and clear driving record
