Outreach Coordinator – What You'll Do
As an Outreach Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in helping our company grow—both by maintaining and building strong community partnerships and by supporting recruitment efforts. You’ll be active in the community: engaging existing referral sources, making new connections, sharing information about our services, and ensuring people know who we are and what we do.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Community & Referral Outreach
- Research and identify potential referral partners such as schools, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and other local organizations.
- Reach out to new contacts through phone calls, emails, virtual meetings, or in-person visits
- Host or participate in formal & information presentations, informational sessions, and lunch & learn sessions to introduce our services and build relationships.
- Maintain and strengthen existing partnerships through regular check-ins and consistent follow-up.
- Keep and maintain an ongoing referral pipeline active by nurturing relationships and staying top of mind.
- Share updates about our services, new offerings, and any changes community stakeholders and partners need to be aware of.
- Represent the company at local events including but not limited to: job and health fairs, community engagement events and fundraisers, and conferences.
- Lead or support public-facing outreach campaigns or presentations to raise awareness of our services.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to collaborate and update on to involve them in community events and outreach efforts regularly.
- Learn and stay up to date on all of our services to confidently represent BTST in the community.
- Stay informed on local trends and what other providers or organizations are doing to remain competitive and responsive to community needs.
Recruitment Support
- Support our HR team by attending job fairs, visiting local colleges or training programs, and sharing information about career opportunities.
- Help connect with strong candidates who may be a good fit for current or future openings.
Tracking & Goals
- Meet the outreach and engagement goals established by leadership.
- Keep detailed records of your outreach activities and provide timely updates regularly.
- Assist in agencywide projects and initiatives as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Services, or similar field (commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of education)
- 2-4 years experience in community outreach, relational sales, or business development in healthcare, social services, or behavioral health preferred.
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- A “people person” who enjoys meeting and engaging with new people on a regular basis
- Ability to communicate in an honest, direct, and professional manner, relating well to others to build rapport and effective relationships.
Travel Requirement:
- Travel throughout assigned territory required up to 75% of the time.
- Occasional travel outside of assigned territory as requested by leadership.
