The Community Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the Community Support Staff who provide direct mental case management services to clients that are within the Mental Health Case Management Program. Additionally, the Community Support Supervisor should have knowledge of community health resources and management of a supportive services program to provide oversight of the services provided to clients. The Community Support Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all COMAR regulations are upheld during treatment services.
Essential Functions:
- Oversight and management of assigned supervisees. (maximum of 8 supervisees)
- Maintain documentation of supervision sessions.
- Provide training to staff on the provision of case management services.
- Provide direct, hands-on training for staff.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations, needed corrective action, and related activities.
- Case reassignments for caseload of terminated/resigned supervisees – includes audit of charts as well timely reassignment of cases.
- Administrative auditing of client charts for compliance with COMAR regulation, agency policy and procedures & insurance standards.
- Create and upkeep of ongoing community resource guides for the benefit of the clients and staff within the Community Support Programs.
- Provide intervention as needed for a client in crisis and/or pending assignment.
- Assign and/or complete and review assessments and plans of care, and ensure staff comply with regulatory timelines for documentation completion.
- Ensure timely completion of authorizations for new and ongoing clients in the program.
- Coordinate and oversee team meetings.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and engage in family team meetings to support staff as needed.
- Participate in external community and programmatic outreach on behalf of BTST and the Program
- Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources.
- Adhere to location specific required reporting and data collection.
- Work independently, yet collaboratively as a team player across department lines within BTST Services, LLC
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields: social work, psychology, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related field
- Maintain professional license in the state of MD as LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC or LCPC
- At least 1 year of supervisory and case management related experience
- Experience working in a behavioral health setting providing services to clients with emotional and behavioral disabilities
- Knowledge of CARF standards and COMAR regulations preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver's License and clear driving record
