The Daytime Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized,
and fully functional dish station throughout daytime operations. This role
supports kitchen prep, upholds sanitation standards, and ensures a steady flow
Key Responsibilities:
Dishwashing & Sanitation
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and smallwares according to health and safety standards.
- Maintain proper chemical levels and follow all ware washing procedures.
- Keep dish machine clean, de-limed, and operating efficiently.
- Follow required time and temperature standards for sanitizing.
Maintaining Cleanliness Standards
- Keep dish station floors, sinks, counters, and surrounding areas clean, dry, and organized.
- Empty trash as needed throughout the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of mop sink,chemical storage, and utility areas.
- Assist with daily and weeklycleaning tasks assigned by kitchen leadership.
Prep Support
- Assist with basic prep tasks asdirected (peeling, portioning, labeling, stocking).
- Ensure clean prep tools andequipment are available for cooks throughout the day.
- Help receive and storedeliveries, break down boxes, and organize storage areas.
Dish Station Organization
- Sort, stack, and store clean wares properly for easy access.
- Rotate wares to ensure cooksalways have what they need during prep and service.
- Maintain a steady workflow to prevent backups.
- Report equipment issues immediately to kitchen leadership.
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and stay productive during slower daytime hours.
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the kitchen team.
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is helpful but not required.
