Garrett Ace Hardware in Healdsburg is accepting applications for Garden Sales Associates.
Are you ready to work in a family oriented and fast paced work environment? Do you love plants and love to garden, then this is the job for you! All candidates must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service. Experience in nursery is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
The primary purpose of a salesperson is to assist customers in choosing the best product or service to meet their needs. In addition to the responsibilities and duties of a salesperson, the Garden Associate is responsible for the upkeep of all aspects of the plant nursery.
These duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting customers with plants
- Water plants as needed
- Stocking merchandise
- Upkeep of plants and premises
- loading out product to customer vehicles
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for an honest and hardworking person with a positive attitude that is willing to learn. We provide competitive pay based on experience.
- Knowledge, identification, and growth requirements for plants.
- Understanding of common garden controls and chemicals.
- Irrigation knowledge a plus
- Service minded and teamwork driven
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
