Position Overview
The Delivery & Small Engine Technician / Inventory Associate plays a key role in store operations. This position is responsible for product delivery, equipment assembly, small engine repair and maintenance, and stocking inventory. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery
- Safely deliver merchandise (grills, power equipment, lawn & garden products, etc.) to customer homes and job sites
- Load and unload products carefully to prevent damage
- Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries
- Ensure delivery vehicle is clean and properly maintained
Assembly & Small Engine Repair
- Assemble grills, mowers, excavators, patio furniture, and outdoor power equipment
- Diagnose and repair small engines (lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, snow blowers, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance and warranty repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized service area
Inventory & Stocking
- Receive and stock incoming merchandise
- Maintain organized shelves and backroom inventory
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking
- Ensure pricing and product displays are accurate and up to date
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude required; small engine repair experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
Preferred Experience
- Small engine certification or technical training
- Retail or warehouse experience
- Delivery or logistics experience
