Line Cook/ Prep Cook
Line Cooks are responsible for preparing all food according to internal recipes and setting up other necessary kitchen and prep supplies. Additional duties include but are not limited to: following kitchen safety guidelines, communicating to all kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean kitchen. Line Cooks must know menu items ensuring consistent preparation resulting in desired taste and visual appeal.
Wages
- Hourly Wage: $15.25 – $16.50 per hour.
- Eligible for Tips: No
- Bonus: Line Cooks are eligible for a work performance-based bonus of up to $0.50 for every hour worked during the Season through Sunday, October 11; must work a minimum of 200 hours in total. The associate must work until the date of commitment agreed to at the interview.
Essential Functions
- Must be comfortable with preparing food including cleaning, cutting, and cooking.
- Must be familiar with common ingredients.
- One to two years of experience as a line or prep cook preferred.
- Must maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements.
- Ability to communicate well with staff.
- Must be able to work in a fast environment.
- Timeliness is required as well as adherence to grooming standards.
- Availability to work weekends, especially during the summer season.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, or stretch for long periods of time.
- Ability to take and follow directions from the executive and/or sous chef.
Qualifications
- Culinary training or experience.
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and practices.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand/walk/bend for up to 12 hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
- Must be able to perform physical work, including crawling, pushing, bending, and stooping.
