Busser / Food Runner
The Busser/Runner's main job responsibility is to clear/set tables and to support servers in carrying food and beverages to designated tables. Additional duties include communicating with servers to determine their needs, carrying food items from the expediting counter, providing friendly service to guests, and assisting with cleanup duties after the conclusion of service. Busser must also report guest problems or issues to a supervisor as observed.
Wages
- Hourly Wage: $8.00 per hour
- Eligible for Tips: Yes
- Bonus: Busser/Runners are eligible for a work performance-based bonus of up to $0.50 for every hour worked during the Season through Sunday, October 11; must work a minimum of 200 hours in total. The associate must work until the date of commitment agreed to at the interview.
Essential Functions
- Must be an enthusiastic individual with a courteous and positive attitude toward guests, outside vendors, and co-workers.
- Timeliness is required as well as grooming standards.
- Availability to work weekends, especially during the summer season.
- Ability to take and follow directions from the restaurant management team.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills.
- Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
- Basic math skills.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand/walk up to 12 hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to perform physical work, including crawling, pushing, bending, and stooping.
