Host
Hosts are responsible for greeting guests, taking reservations, providing accurate wait times, and escorting guests to the dining and bar areas. Additional duties include: providing friendly customer service, answering guest questions, accommodating seating requests, and communicating with the server staff. Hosts must also report guest problems or issues to a supervisor as observed.
Wages
- Hourly Wage: $15.25 per hour
- Eligible for Tips: No
- Bonus: Hosts are eligible for a work performance-based bonus of up to $0.50 for every hour worked during the Season through Sunday, October 11; must work a minimum of 200 hours in total. The associate must work until the date of commitment agreed to at the interview.
Essential Functions
- Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and seat them at tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlist using a reservation system or book.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining room, including placing silverware and setting tables.
- Answer the phone and take to-go orders.
- Assist servers and bussers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining room.
- Maintain an efficient flow for the evening by rotating sections so servers do not get double sat.
- Alert managers if a server has not greeted a table within five minutes of being sat.
Qualifications
- Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic math and cash handling skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand/walk/bend for up to 12 hours at a time.
- Must be able to work in varying weather (rain, wind, cold/high temperatures, direct sunlight, and humidity).
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to perform physical work, including crawling, pushing, bending, and stooping.
