Director of Marketing & Employee Engagement

Chick-fil-A Lumberton is seeking a Director of Marketing & Employee Engagement who will greatly impact our team, our guests, and our community. This leader will be responsible for creating meaningful connections, growing the Chick-fil-A brand, and cultivating a culture where people feel known, cared for, and valued.

The overall goal of this role is to maximize both the team member experience and the guest experience while creating strategies that grow sales and strengthen our organization. This Director will oversee the execution of all strategies related to marketing, community relationships, sales growth, and employee engagement.

This leader will work closely with the Operator and Director Team to ensure our vision and core values remain the foundation on which we grow the business. A successful Director of Marketing & Employee Engagement will lead with humility, take initiative, build strong relationships, and have a passion for serving others.

Position Key Responsibilities:

Vision & Culture

  • Lead with humility and model the values of Chick-fil-A Lumberton.
  • Cultivate a culture of care where team members feel known and valued.
  • Mentor, encourage, and build meaningful relationships with a diverse team of people.
  • Develop and execute systems focused on employee engagement, retention, and team culture.
  • Celebrate team member milestones including birthdays, anniversaries, accomplishments, and life events.
  • Create opportunities to celebrate holidays and special events together as a team.
  • Maintain and update the dining room community board.
  • Partner with the leadership team to ensure team member experience remains a priority.
  • Exhibit our Core Values and 2nd Mile Service qualities on a day-to-day basis.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Create and execute yearly, quarterly, and monthly marketing plans.
  • Take ownership of bringing marketing strategies from ideas to execution.
  • Steward and manage the marketing budget effectively.
  • Build strong partnerships with schools, businesses, organizations, and community leaders.
  • Manage community support opportunities including fundraisers, donation requests, and events.
  • Plan and execute events that create remarkable experiences for guests and the community.
  • Maintain Chick-fil-A Lumberton’s digital presence through social media, email communication, and other marketing platforms.
  • Support and execute local, regional, and national Chick-fil-A campaigns.
  • Represent Chick-fil-A Lumberton positively throughout the community.

Sales Growth

  • Develop strategies that create measurable sales growth.
  • Create and manage annual sales goals with clear strategies and expected outcomes.
  • Grow catering and outside sales through intentional community relationships.
  • Create and execute strategies around mobile ordering, digital channels, and delivery opportunities.
  • Analyze results and adjust strategies to continue growing the business.

Schedule Expectations:

  • Full-Time Position
  • Approximately 40 hours per week
  • 10-15 hours per week supporting restaurant operations
  • Availability for community events, restaurant events, and occasional evenings/weekends as needed

Specific Experience for Director of Marketing & Employee Engagement:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lead projects from planning through execution
  • Ability to analyze opportunities and create solutions
  • Passion for serving people and creating remarkable experiences

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in marketing, sales, community relations, leadership, or customer service
  • Experience managing social media or digital marketing platforms
