As the Restaurant Leader, you are responsible for overseeing the restaurant as a whole. Everything from the BOH up to the FOH. You are the main person that everyone reports to and is ultimately responsible for what happens within the restaurant. Both the FOH & BOH PIC’s report to you while you ensure the overall operations are running smoothly. The Restaurant Leader bears the ultimate responsibility for what happens on the shift and the decisions that are made. You are not tied to one area of the restaurant, you will wear a different hat as the day goes on and spend time in both the FOH & BOH. If there is an area that is neglected or needs assistance, you as the restaurant leader will find the solution by working with either the FOH or BOH PIC in order to address the situation at hand. As a restaurant leader you will be able to develop your communication, problem solving and difficult conversation skills as accountability falls on your shoulders to be responsible for the whole restaurant and its success. This role will give a true 30,000 foot view and ownership over the restaurant and will give you the ability to make decisions that affect the whole restaurant with Leaders, Team Members and Guests. The Restaurant Leader should think of themselves as the Operator, they are ultimately in charge.
Responsibilities:
- Create, Develop, Improve & Implement systems that ensure execution of the Winning Hearts Every Day strategy and the Creating Brand Ambassador Strategy.
- Creating an environment where team members are both cared for and challenged
- Work directly with the FOH & BOH PIC’s & ensuring overall success of
Restaurant Operations
- To ensure that the metrics are taken into account and actively seeking to improve them
- Looking for ways to reinvent continuously to ensure guest satisfaction
- Responsible for Coaching, Growing & Developing the Team Members & PIC’s
- The responsibility falls on you as the Restaurant Lead to ensure that each individual is developing and progressing as a member of this Team
- Take charge and lead in tough situations
- Situations will arise where not everyone will be equipped to handle, its up to you to identify and lead in those situations
- Protect the Brand, the Operator, the Team & the Guests
- Provides feedback to both FOH & BOH PIC’s with after shift reports (Forms) to debrief how they can improve or continue to run operations
- Daily Inventory Counts
- Ensure that Daily Inventory Counts are completed
- Conduct Food Quality Assessments to ensure standards are met
- Ensure proper food safety measures are being implemented to maintain quality of food
Full Ownership of:
- Lunch/Dinner Daypart and oversight of Restaurant Operations as the stand in Operator
- Feedback reports for both FOH & BOH PIC’s

Overall success in this role is impacted by your ability to take ownership and responsibility for all things that happen within the restaurant and your ability to lead by example and through people with delegation. As the sole leader and person in charge of the restaurant, you can’t be everywhere at once, but you can empower leaders and team members by working through them and achieving your daily goals. As the “Stand in Operator” you have the ability to take ownership of the restaurant and really look to make an impact in all phases of the business. Success comes with repeated and proven ability to work well through the team while still executing the vision and our core strategy.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree Required
- 4+ Years of Leadership Experience
- 4+ Years of Similar Field or Restaurant Experience (Both Front of House & Back of House Experience Required)
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong understanding of Labor and Cost Systems
- Ability to lead a team of 20+ Team Members at once
