Operations Manager
Purpose:
“To be an ambassador for our business and brand to our team and guests, to lead daily shift operations to execute the Raving Fan Strategy effectively, to own a specific operations systems or areas of the business (office management, Maintenance, Team Care, Kitchen Operations etc.) and to develop other leaders through effective training and mentorship.”
Ambassador:
Understands our business vision and aligns shift goals to the “bigger picture”. Models our values and builds and protects our culture. Leaders always support and uplift other leaders and team members consistent with Servant Leadership.
Operational Leader:
Back of House – Ensures the 4 kitchen Success Deliverables each shift
- Urgency – speed of service, pace of the team, bump time, downtime productivity, task completion
- Quality – Food Safety culture and standards, quality requirements (hold times, procedures)
- Stewardship – Controlling and tracking waste, proper care of equipment and facilities, cleanliness
- Teamwork – Builds positive team relationships, team works together for goals, helping each other, positive communication, productive problem solving,
Front of House – Ensures 4 FC Success Deliverables each shift
- Urgency – speed of service, pace of the team, bump time, downtime productivity, task completion
- Hospitality – Core 4 consistency, Constant 2MS, ECM plays, Cleanliness of guest environment, guest recovery, personal connections
- Stewardship - Controlling and tracking waste, proper care of equipment and facilities, cleanliness
- Teamwork - Builds positive team relationships, team works together for goals, helping each other, positive communication, productive problem solving, no blame game, only ownership
General Operational Management Responsibilities
- Creating line ups and leadingdaily shift operations to uphold Chick-fil-As operating standards.
- Coaching team leaders and team members in their roles.
- Leading shifts to uphold our standards and achieve goals aligned with our vision and strategies
- Executing financial procedures and systems necessary to execute shift operations
- Executing quality/task management systems: Checklists, eRQA, Safe Daily Critical, eFSA, and others
- Be proactive in solving issues to execute shift operations (ordering supplies, calling other locations for supplies, communicating if systems need to be repaired)
Developer (Trainer and Mentor):
- Effectively training team members and team leaders in positions, standards and restaurant systems and procedures
- Encouraging and challenging team members and leaders to grow personally and professionally
- Engages in evaluating team member performance and delivery effective feedback
- Enforces standards and policy though accountability and diciplinary action
- Identifiys and invests in upcoming talent
Requirements:
Relevant Leadership Experience
Becomes certified in Restaurant Standards for main areas of responsibility
Complete State require food safety certifications
Meet regularly with Director and other leaders
