Work with General Manager and Owners to ensure an all-around amazing guest experience. Assume responsibility for operations and guest complaints in the absence of GM . Assist with daily preparation, construction, and service of all menu items with focus on restaurant cleanliness and safe food handling practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures drawer and deposits are correct on nights when acting as closing manager.
- Prepares a variety of menu items in an accurate and efficient manner.
- May occasionally be responsible for placing orders for delivery the next day.
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
- Is capable of planning and managing a shift effectively when GM is not present.
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
- Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, refrigerators, and the oven.
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
- Attends all scheduled team member meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
