Job Title: Chef de Cuisine

Job Summary:

As a Chef de Cuisine at Il Forno Brands, you will play a pivotal role in leading the culinary team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, authentic dishes. Working under the guidance of the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

1. Menu Execution:

- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to implement and update seasonal menus that align with the Il Forno Brands' culinary vision.

2. Kitchen Management:

- Supervise and lead a team of kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and productive working environment.

- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards.

3. Quality Control:

- Maintain a keen focus on food quality, consistency, and presentation.

- Conduct regular tastings and inspections to ensure adherence to Il Forno Brands' culinary standards.

4. Cost Control:

- Manage kitchen expenses effectively, optimizing ingredient usage and minimizing wastage.

- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on inventory management and cost control initiatives.

5. Training and Development:

- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Conduct regular skill development sessions to enhance the team's culinary expertise.

6. Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

- Implement and enforce proper kitchen sanitation practices.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a reputable restaurant.

- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.

- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and culinary techniques.

- Leadership and team management skills.

- Creativity and ability to contribute to menu development.
