Purpose: Serve and maintain salad bar products with high quality, food safety, and hospitality standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Arrive on time to your scheduled shift.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and temperature requirements.
- Follow all uniform and apron policies throughout your shift.
- Wear appropriate non-slip footwear for safety.
- Use wet floor warning signs when floors are slippery.
- Communicate with a Manager or Supervisor if any item, supply, or product is running low.
- Accurately complete and turn in all waste tracking sheets (if applicable).
- Work together as a team to deliver great food and genuine hospitality to every Guest.
Salad Bar–Specific Duties
- Greet guests while maintaining eye contact and answer questions.
- Perform pre‑opening cleaning and sanitation; set up salad bar 15 minutes before opening.
- Ensure all signage on salad bar products is accurate, clean, and properly placed.
- Maintain adequate supply of trays, plates, and silverware at the front of the bar.
- Follow cleaning/sanitation guidelines: change gloves, use clean towels/sponges, maintain sanitation buckets and clean water.
- Discard any product directly touched by a Guest (bare hands) and record immediately.
- Maintain QHC quality standards; set aside out-of-spec products and contact a manager for a decision.
- Track and communicate backup product levels throughout shift.
- Perform post-closing cleaning, sanitation, and storage of bar and products.
- Apply “Use First” Jolt stickers; follow FIFO rotation when restocking.
- At doors close, check with the closing manager about shutting down one salad bar line.
