Purpose: Service Attendants are responsible for providing hospitality-focused table service, pre-bussing, and dining room cleanliness. This is the only tipped position at Soup ’n Fresh, where gratuities are given directly by Guests in recognition of service.
Core Responsibilities
- Arrive on time to your scheduled shift.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and temperature requirements.
- Follow all uniform and apron policies throughout your shift.
- Wear appropriate non-slip footwear for safety.
- Use wet floor warning signs when floors are slippery.
- Communicate with a Manager or Supervisor if any item, supply, or product is running low.
- Accurately complete and turn in all waste tracking sheets (if applicable).
- Work together as a team to deliver great food and genuine hospitality to every Guest.
Dining Room–Specific Duties
- Greet each party immediately after they are seated, introduce yourself by name, and let Guests know to call on you if they need anything.
- Assist Guests by taking their trays as soon as they are seated and carrying them if needed.
- Pre-bus throughout the Guest’s visit by removing used trays, plates, bowls, cups, and silverware promptly.
- Immediately clean, sanitize, and reset tables as soon as parties leave to ensure quick turnover.
- Maintain tray returns and dish drop areas in a neat and organized manner.
- Restock trays, napkins, and silverware at the dining room stations as needed.
- Observe the dining room and quietly report any Guest issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to a Manager.
- Support other areas of the restaurant as assigned.
