Your Impact
The Barista Lead supports the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations. This role is crucial for maintaining consistent operations, especially during the Store Manager's absence. The Café Supervisor is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, supervising staff, maintaining store standards, and assisting with various operational tasks. This position requires strong leadership potential, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing a positive customer and employee experience.
Your Responsibilities
• Oversee daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, including opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal.
• Monitor all inventory levels, assist in receiving/deliveries, and communicate needs to the Store Manager.
• Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate cash reconciliation during assigned shifts.
• Monitor sales during assigned shifts and report any trends to the Store Manager.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Supervise staff during assigned shifts, providing direction and support.
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and monitoring performance.
• Create a positive and motivating team environment during assigned shifts.
• Support the Store Manager in implementing marketing initiatives and promotions.
• Emphasize a strong customer experience by addressing and resolving customer complaints and issues effectively.
• Adhere to all local and state ABC laws and regulations.
• Monitor customer alcohol consumption and take appropriate action when necessary.
Your Skills/Experience
• Previous experience in a lead role in the food and beverage or retail industry preferred.
• Strong leadership/management experience, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing a positive customer experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Basic computer skills (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, Timekeeping software).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of local and state alcohol beverage control (ABC) laws and regulations.
• Must be of legal age to serve and supervise the sale of alcohol according to state/local laws.
• Must obtain and maintain any required alcohol server/manager certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) as required by local and/or state law.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
