In this role, you will take orders, prepare guest orders, maintain a clean dining environment, and work closely with your team to deliver excellent customer service every day.
Key Responsibilities & Job Functions
Deliver Friendly Guest Service
- Greet every guest with a smile and acknowledge them promptly upon arrival.
- Take customer orders quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Provide helpful menu information and answer questions about products and specials.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to recommend menu items, beverages, or add-ons that enhance the guest’s meal.
- Thank guests sincerely for their visit and invite them to return.
Process Orders and Payments
- Enter orders into the POS system accurately to ensure correct food preparation.
- Accept cash or other payment methods and provide accurate change.
- Maintain attention to detail when handling transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare and Deliver Quality Orders
- Assemble guest orders carefully, ensuring all food items, condiments, and requested service items are included.
- Verify that every order meets quality standards before it is served to the guest.
- Deliver orders in a timely manner while meeting designated service time goals.
Maintain a Clean and Welcoming Environment
- Keep the sales and service areas clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift.
- Clean and restock the beverage station, including cups, lids, ice, and drink supplies.
- Wipe down dining room tables and seating areas to maintain a comfortable space for guests.
- Clean and restock restrooms regularly to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Sweep and mop dining room and restroom floors frequently and respond quickly to spills or messes.
Support Team Operations
- Assist other team members with tasks during busy periods to ensure smooth service.
- Restock supplies, condiments, and service items as needed throughout the shift.
- Communicate effectively with management and coworkers to maintain efficient operations.
Maintain Professionalism and Safety Standards
- Maintain a positive, cooperative, and respectful relationship with management and fellow team members.
- Follow company dress code and grooming standards to present a professional appearance.
- Adhere to all sanitation, food safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Help maintain a safe environment for guests and employees at all times.
