Job Purpose
The Cow Mascot is responsible for representing Chick-fil-A Rincon during events, promotions, and community activities by creating a fun, engaging, and memorable experience for guests. This role serves as a positive and energetic brand ambassador through non-verbal interaction, helping to foster a welcoming, family-friendly environment while supporting the restaurant’s overall community presence and event execution efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Mascot Performance
- Wear and perform in the Chick-fil-A cow mascot costume during events and promotions.
- Greet guests through waving, dancing, and engaging body language (non-speaking role).
- Create a fun, welcoming, and family-friendly atmosphere for all guests.
- Interact with children and families in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
- Help create memorable experiences that reflect Chick-fil-A’s culture of hospitality.
- Maintain high energy and positivity throughout appearances.
Event Support
- Work closely with the restaurant team to support in-store and community events.
- Assist with event setup and execution as needed.
- Follow direction from leadership to ensure smooth event operations.
Costume Care & Maintenance
- Ensure proper handling and maintaining of the mascot costume.
- Ensure the costume remains in good condition and presentable at all times.
- Follow guidelines for safe and appropriate costume use.
Expectations
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality for all scheduled events and shifts.
- Engage guests in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
- Embody Chick-fil-A’s culture of CARE through actions and interactions.
- Work collaboratively with the team to create successful events.
Qualifications
- Positive, friendly, and outgoing personality.
- Comfortable wearing a full-body mascot costume for extended periods of time.
- Ability to safely and comfortably fit inside the mascot costume (costume size limitations apply).
- Must generally fall within the costume’s safe operating range (approximately 5’2”–5’11” in height; weight must allow for safe mobility, visibility, and ventilation inside the costume).
- Ability to move, walk, wave, and interact non-verbally in character.
- Ability to move, walk, wave, and perform while maintaining balance and awareness in a limited-visibility environment.
- Previous mascot or performance experience is a plus, but not required.
- Willingness to accept feedback and grow within the role.
- Meet all standard Team Member qualifications.
