Main responsibilities of a cashier:
- Pay rate ranges from $10.00 to $14.00, depending on availability, experience, and location sales volume.
- Managing transactions, ensuring accurate pricing
- Accepting payments and providing receipts
- Bagging purchased goods
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and managing transactions using a cash register
- Balancing the cash register and scanning goods accurately
- Accepting payments in various forms and providing change and receipts
- Resolving customer complaints and processing returns/refunds
- Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
Requirements:
- Must have at least a high school degree
- Experience with POS systems and cash registers
- Basic computer knowledge and good math skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to resolve complaints effectively
