Scream A Geddon is seeking enthusiastic, alert, and dependable individuals to join our team as Door Control Attendants. In this role, you will be responsible for controlling guest flow through our haunted attractions, managing timed entries, ensuring guest and performer safety, and helping maintain a smooth and immersive Halloween experience.
This is a key front-line position that combines crowd management, guest interaction, and attraction operations in one of Florida’s premier Halloween events.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and direct them to the appropriate attraction entrance.
- Manage guest flow at attraction entry and exit points to maintain safety and prevent congestion.
- Monitor timed admissions and communicate with attraction staff to ensure proper spacing between groups.
- Provide guests with information about attraction locations, event rules, and park amenities.
- Maintain a professional and energetic presence while interacting with guests throughout the event.
- Address guest questions or concerns and escalate issues to a supervisor when necessary.
- Observe for safety hazards, disruptive behavior, or suspicious activity and report concerns to management or security.
- Follow all operational, safety, and emergency procedures established by park management.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and excellent guest-service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and remain standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable managing crowds and handling high guest volume in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and available to work evenings, weekends, and event nights.
Physical Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age required
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and cool evening temperatures.
- Ability to move quickly when needed and navigate uneven terrain common to outdoor attraction environments.
Schedule & Availability
Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during our operating season.
Our 2026 Operating Dates:
- August: 22, 23, 24, 28, & 29
- September: 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, & 24–30
- October: 1–31
- November: 1
Please note: From September 24 through November 1, Scream-A-Geddon operates continuously on scheduled event nights, making full availability during this period highly preferred.
