Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Worker to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are physically capable of performing a variety of manual tasks and basic maintenance duties. While no prior experience or formal education is required, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to a team are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to ensure the overall upkeep of the facility or property.
- Perform basic landscaping and groundskeeping duties, including mowing lawns, trimming, and maintaining outdoor spaces.
- Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc.) by providing assistance as needed.
- Carry out heavy lifting, moving, and transporting of equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling temporary structures for events or projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and in good condition.
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery safely and responsibly, adhering to established guidelines.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and senior team members to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Participate in general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support the maintenance team and overall operations.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience or formal education is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Basic communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Stamina and endurance to engage in physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Comfort with bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching to perform various duties.
- Capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
