STERN Co. is seeking a dedicated Propane Equipment Installer & Delivery Specialist to join our team. As a Propane Equipment Installer, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and servicing propane tanks, lines, regulators, and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure that customers receive safe and efficient propane system for their residential or commercial needs. In addition to equipment installation, this team member will also assist the with safe delivery of propane to customers
Responsibilities
- Install propane tanks, regulators, piping, and related equipment according to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct inspections and tests of propane systems to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing propane systems as needed.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their propane needs and provide professional recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with propane systems, including leaks or malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and service calls.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies regarding propane handling, delivery, and installation.
- Complete truck inspections and report any issues or defects before and after delivery.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a propane technician or installer, with knowledge of propane systems and equipment.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to propane installation and handling.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (at least 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Class B CDL preferred (we are willing to train the right candidate if the candidate is not a current CDL holder)
