Equipment Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, mechanically skilled team member who enjoys working in the field and takes pride in building, installing, and maintaining high-quality systems. This role is ideal for someone with a contractor background who is comfortable working with tools, reading layouts, and completing installations in commercial and industrial environments.


The Equipment Service Technician is responsible for installing and servicing fluid management systems, including oil distribution, air systems, and related equipment. This individual will work both independently and alongside a team to deliver safe, efficient, and professional service to customers.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install fluid management systems including bulk oil systems, piping, hose reels, and compressed air lines
  • Mount and secure equipment to walls, ceilings, tanks, and other infrastructure
  • Assemble, repair, and maintain pumps, reels, meters, and related components
  • Read and interpret basic layouts, schematics, and installation plans
  • Perform retrofits and upgrades to existing systems
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their equipment needs and provide professional recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs in the field
  • Ensure all installations meet safety standards, codes, and company expectations
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members regarding project status
  • Document work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in construction, contracting, mechanical installation, or a related field
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
  • Experience working with piping systems (steel, PVC, or similar) preferred
  • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and in industrial environments
  • Basic understanding of compressed air systems and fluid handling equipment is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings or installation instructions
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel for projects as needed

Travel Requirements

  • Travel is a regular part of this role based on project needs
  • Overnight travel may be required and per diem is included in overnight travel
  • All approved travel expenses including lodging and transportation are covered by the company

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
  • Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and working in various environments
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed
