Provide executive leadership and oversight of all accounting and finance functions, including dailyoperations, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, internal controls, and audit processes. Direct and lead the full spectrum of human resources activities, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and wage administration, employee relations and disciplinary actions, and organizational learning and development initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operations and functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop budgets and forecasts and analyze/report significant variances to management.
- Perform cash flow forecasting and monitor liquidity across operations.
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and financial reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Establish and maintain financial and operational performance benchmarks and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Review contracts for financial compliance and risk considerations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide required documentation for annual audits.
- Manage insurance renewals and audit processes.
- Oversee cash sources and uses across all business entities.
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems, ensuring full utilization of software capabilities and updates.
- Collaborate with department managers to support staffing and hiring needs.
- Develop and implement HR practices, policies, and strategic workforce initiatives.
- Maintain company policies and ensure completion of required training programs.
- Identify, develop, and support growth plans for key and high-potential employees.
- Support the President with new business initiatives as needed.
- Provide recommendations and insights to business stakeholders to support informed decisionmaking.
- Maintain and foster positive, professional relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and other associated personnel.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
- Advanced proficiency and experience in NetSuite preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, strategic thinking, and initiative, grounded in a thorough understanding of organizational and accounting practices and procedures
