Restaurant Marketing Director Job Description
The Restaurant Marketing Director (RMD) provides leadership for all marketing and public relations initiatives, including oversight and implementation of activities such as: general and interactive marketing, effective communications and branding, publications, and website.
With the continual growth and expansion of Chick-fil-A (CFA), it is critical that the mission of Chick-fil-A, its vision and values be represented in a unified voice and consistent manner. Therefore all publications, public correspondence, media-relations, promotional activities and community events shall be managed, directed, and approved by the RMD.
Restaurant Marketing Director Responsibilities
- Create a team atmosphere of creativity, risk taking, open dialog, honest feedback and fiscal responsibility
- Responsible for the development and implementation of a long-range marketing plan designed to enhance the visibility and reputation of CFA in our community
- Executing the marketing plan
- Building relationships within the community (distributing flyers/brochures at community events, distributing food and catering menus to local businesses, setting up cross-promotions and school programs, as well as involving Chick-fil-A in community-wide events, etc
- Understand and foster in-store Recipe for Service programs and to ensure all guests have a positive lasting experience.
- Identify, understand and translate key consumer insights, consumer trends, consumer research, and business developments to build strategies that ensures continued brand differentiation and short and long term consumer impact
- Develop network of contacts, resources and relationships to stay current on consumer and sales insights and trends
- -Develop short and long term views of the business and identify key elements needed to achieve success
- As needed manage content for marketing materials such as brochures, advertising, presentations and talking points
- Manage external vendors involved in marketing efforts.
- Tracking redemptions all offers
- Monitoring effectiveness of all promotions
- Analyze sales data, consumer buying data and consumer research to identify brand trends, strengths, issues, and opportunities
- Work with the Operations team to understand data’s insights and translate them into actionable marketing plans and strategies
Qualifications and Essential Abilities
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Business Management preferred
- Strong creativity skills
- Proven Sales ability
- Strong organizational skills and experience supervising staff and/or volunteers.
- Preferred experience with public/media relations, written promotional materials and public speaking
- Ability to engage in a collaborative working style and a willingness to share in all aspects of growing the business
- Ability to generate ideas, implement programs and provide excellent follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, manage deadlines and meet performance requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Perform duties independently and in teams
- Proficient in iOS and Google Applications
- Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
