Tasks and Responsibilities of a Sandwich Artist:

• Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them accurately to guests
• Use the Point of Sale system/cash register to record orders and compute bills
• Perform the Cash-In Procedure, accounting for all forms of money, bread, etc., during the shift
• Prepare food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner
• Check products in the sandwich unit area and restock items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift
• Understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
• Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image
• Adhere to all quality standards, formulas, and procedures as outlined in the SUBWAY Operations Manual
• Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards
• Complete light paperwork duties as assigned
• Participate in University of SUBWAY courses as directed

Sandwich Artist Requirements:

• Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions
• Physical ability to work any area of the restaurant and operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register
• Must be able to bend, stand, and walk for the entire work shift
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally
• Some high school education or equivalent
