The Sanitation Leader is responsible for maintaining the facility in a sanitary manner and leading a staff of Sanitation Assistants. The Sanitation Leader works with all other area leaders to ensure their areas are maintained in a sanitary manner and proper procedures are followed.
Hours: 7-day flexible schedule and it's an overnight job from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1. Lead and motivate a staff of Sanitation Assistants to ensure the completion of all sanitation activities in a safe and timely manner.
2. Audit all sanitation activities; communicate deficiencies to the Shift Supervisor.
3. Identify all safety violations to the Plant Manager.
4. Train all employees in proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
5. Ensure all related equipment is cleaned and sanitized per schedule.
6. Ensure the completion of the Sanitation Checklist and ensure that all tasks are complete.
7. Practices “Clean As You Go.”
8. Communicates any repairs and maintenance requirements to the Shift Supervisor and the Maintenance Supervisor via a work order.
9. Adheres to and ensures that all team members report to work on time, in a clean / complete uniform, and maintains good personal hygiene.
10. Executes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety guidelines throughout the production shift.
11. Strictly adheres to and confers all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
1. Serve Safe or equivalent certification preferred.
2. Ability to lead staff of 2 or more.
3. Good leadership skills.
4. Self starter.
5. Prior sanitation experience.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Works well in a team environment.
