Kitchen Shift Manager

A Chick-fil-A Shift Lead is responsible for all shift operations, team member care, and overall guest service within the restaurant. They must operate with excellence both in character and in performance at all times. Because of the high expectations set for leaders in our industry, the selection for this position is a multi-step process.


Responsibilities:

  • Model the mission and Values with guests and team members.
  • Lead, train, and support the focus areas of the “Winning Hearts Everyday” strategy:  Clean & Safe Environment, Great Food, Fast & Accurate Service and Genuine Hospitality.
  • Lead, train, and support the four components of the hospitality model:  Honor, Dignity, and Respect for all, 1st Mile: CORE 4,and 2nd mile:  Create a Moment, and Recovery utilizing the HEARD model.
  • Oversee all operations of Back of House as designated as “your area” on shift.
  • Inspect and ensure designated areas are operationally set up for success (stocked, staffed, etc.)
  • Set and discuss goals with team members in your area (sales goals, speed of service, order accuracy, etc) 
  • Hold team members accountable to standards of operation
  • Assign and ensure rotations/positional changes as needed on shift
  • Work with fellow operational leaders to ensure all team members’ breaks are completed.
  • Contribute to the team environment within our leadership structure - problem solve, contribute to the group and invest in the overall success of our business, all areas of the store
  • Collaboratively work with fellow leaders to ensure the overall goals are achieved.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional approach
  • Steward the sanctity of your influence well and continuously coach and develop existing team members
  • Communicate all goals and success factors, systematically and effectively
  • Lead with an attitude of humility and service
  • Align practices with the vision, mission, and values of Chick-fil-A Winterpock
  • Daily uphold all Pathway procedures and restaurant policies
  • Support training new team members during their first week of work
  • Stay up to date on all new product rollouts and procedural changes

Requirements:

  • You must be hard-working, team-oriented, friendly, honest and have great customer service skills.
  • Reliable transportation with a current driver's license is required
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Be available to work any time, including Saturdays - time off can be given for special requests
  • Have at least one-year previous restaurant management or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to work a combination of opening, mid-shift, and closing shifts.
